About Comrie

Comrie is a lovely village in Perthshire, west of Crieff.

The village sits inbetween of Glen Lednock and Glen Artney. Comrie has a lovely local shops and places to stay and eat out.

Comrie is a previously won Best Large Village award from Britain in Bloom and is an iconic conservation village. Its geological position on the Highland Boundary Fault has caused it to experience more earth tremors than anywhere else in the UK. You can see a replica of the world’s first seismometer, installed in 1874, at the tiny Earthquake House nearby at Dalrannoch.

Near-by, Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre, set in the Perthshire hills, houses a variety of exotic and more familiar wildlife, and is well worth a visit.
